We are looking for a Dispense Technician or Pharmacy Studentin a Part Time capacity to be a part of our team at Star Discount Chemist Narangba, where community health care is our passion and our focus.

We are ideally seeking someone with previous experience within the dispensary, however if you are a Pharmacy Assistant looking to take the next step in their career we would love to hear from you also! ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, your number one focus will be delivering a high level of customer service through ensuring customers’ prescriptions are handled quickly and efficiently. Other duties in the role include:

  • Assist Pharmacists in assembling/ dispensing medications for prescriptions 
  • Learning and relaying product knowledge to customers
  • Assist with general customer service queries and provide recommendations using your training and experience
  • Counsel customers about medications
  • Process orders & unpack stock as required ensuring stock movement into the dispensary 
  • Update customer files
  • Pack Dose Administration Aids

ABOUT YOU

You will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills while upkeeping a professional presentation. You will be energetic and passionate about providing great value pharmacy health care to our community while also understanding the importance of being team oriented. 

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated about assisting and educating our community on their healthcare
  • Ability to work independently and also effectively within a team & take direction
  • Friendly and team orientated demeanour 
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Previous experience in pharmacy as a Dispense Technician or Webster Packer (Ideal)

The following are not essential but would be the icing on the cake for the ideal candidate

  • S2/S3 medications certificate 
  • Certificate in III Community Pharmacy
  • Experience using MINFOS
